Martha MacInnis is Head of North American Retail Design & Experience at TD, responsible for developing the strategic vision of design and experience across the Bank’s North American Retail real estate portfolio. She is a strategic design thought leader, passionate about customer experience, brand and health & wellness with 15+ years of experience in the design and execution of best-in-class retail and workplace environments. Her work includes engaging stakeholders and industry leaders to define the evolution of retail banking with a focus on research & benchmarking, new concept ideation and the design development and quality control for TD’s retail bank branches. Most notably, Martha led TD’s effort to achieve the World’s first WELL Certified project under v1 of the WELL Building Standard in 2016, an accomplishment that reflects her passion for designing spaces that enhance the experience and positively influence the wellbeing of those who occupy the space.
Martha is a licensed Interior Designer through the National Council for Interior Designers with LEED and WELL accreditations and has also been recognized as a retail design industry leader with design:retail magazine’s Top 40 under 40 award in 2017
